Unfortunately, there isn’t much “fixing'“ that you can do once your headliner starts to fall down. When the material starts to fall, it’s actually delaminating from the foam that it was manufactured together with and that is what that sticky, typically yellow mess is that gets all over your car is when the headliner sags.
Tritex can help though! We remove your headliner completely from the vehicle and we clean off all of the old foam and material. We then apply new material over the entire headliner board ensuring that it won’t come down for years to come.
Typical replacement costs won’t break the bank either. A new headliner in a typical 4 door sedan runs around $450 with sunroof panels costing just a bit more. This replacement is typically done in one day.
If you’re looking for a quick fix and just don’t want to spend the money- don’t spend your hard earned money and time trying to glue that material back up . They don’t work and depending on the glue you use, it may not be able to be removed leaving a bubbly mess that will show through your headliner if you decide to fix it in the future. Instead, buy some thumbtacks, scuff up the heads and spray paint them to match your headliner. Just push them into the headliner where needed to keep the headliner up out of your face! If you decide to have the material replaced in the future, you won’t see the holes from the tacks.
